3D technology has evolved massively since its inception just a few decades ago. With the rise of augmented reality and the growing number of features and uses, the future for 3D looks even brighter and more versatile. AR will revolutionize 3D modeling forever and bring a series of new uses.

About this role

We are looking for a new team member to help us push the performance of rendering and modeling capabilities in the browser. Your main objective will be to research state of the art rendering techniques and help develop our renderer to achieve visually realistic results while keeping the frames per second high even in most complex scenes.

The ideal candidate is passionate about shaders and will find optimal ways to compute screen space reflections, refractions, or bloom and is aware how ambient occlusion and global illumination plays difference in human perception of a scene.

Responsibilities

  • Come up with ideas to boost performance of our renderer and kernel
  • Collaborate with our current 3D engineering team
  • Present, plan and execute ideas
  • Support peers by providing constructive feedback and assistance


Requirements

  • 3+ years of previous programming experience in computer graphics
  • Efficiency in GLSL or HLSL
  • Good knowledge of shaders
  • Understanding the physics of light and materials in CGI (reflections, refractions, ambient occlusion, etc.)
  • We’re a globally distributed team, so fluency in written and spoken English is important
